Tonight, the San Diego Padres take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in game 3 of their NLDS series. The series is currently tied 1-1, with the Padres stealing away homefield advantage by winning game 2 in Los Angeles.

Blake Snell will be starting for the San Diego Padres, and you will hear often about the last time he faced the Dodgers in the playoffs. As a member of the Tampa Bay Rays, Snell started two games at Dodger Stadium during the 2020 World Series.

In game 2, Snell allowed 2 hits (and 2 runs) in 4.2 innings while striking out 9. In game 6, he did even a little bit better, allowing 2 hits (and 1 run) over 5.1 innings while striking out 9.

To put it bluntly, Snell pitched brilliantly against the Dodgers in the highest pressure environment imaginable. For his career, Snell has started 9 games against the Dodgers and holds a 2.50 ERA.
